About Me
Hey! I’m Dana - thanks so much for stopping by my profile! 😊
I’m a curious soul with a deep love for discovering new places, meeting wonderful people, and seeing the world from different perspectives. I want to experience everything, everywhere - and if I can capture those moments through photography or video, even better! 📸
I’m drawn to nature’s quiet beauty, long aimless walks, stunning architecture, cozy board games, creative art corners, and above all - music. Singing in a choir fills my heart, and I truly believe that curiosity and creativity make life richer and more meaningful. ✨
I no longer live alone - these days, I share my home and my life with a very special person, my boyfriend, who adds even more warmth and joy to my journey.
I’m always up for a genuine conversation, a spontaneous adventure, or simply sharing stories over a cup of tea/coffee. ♡

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I’m a musician, so it goes without saying that I ADORÉ music - listening, analyzing, discussing, sharing, and dancing to it...everything related to it! 🎶💃
Lately, I’m really into electronic music. Some of my favorite artists are Lapalux, Ta-ku, Christian Loffler, Yaeji, Alejas, Four Tet, and Evija Vēbere.
Movies:
I’m a big movie lover, especially psychological thrillers, detective stories, and crime dramas - particularly those based on real events. 🎥🔍
I’d love to settle in for an evening to watch a movie together (bonus points if it’s a horror movie, because honestly, I’m too scared to watch those alone! 😂)
Some of my favorites: Inception, Memento, The Prestige, Into the Labyrinth, Exam, Dong wu shi jie, Seven.
Books:
I usually enjoy crime and detective stories - love stories? Not my thing! 📚🕵️♀️
But now that I’m a communication studies student, most of my reading is academic stuff. So if you see me buried in textbooks instead of mysteries, don’t worry - I’m just solving the enigma of communication, one boring chapter at a time! 😄📖
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling alone was something I was a bit scared to try at first, but stepping into it turned out to be a truly magical experience - just me, myself, and the freedom to explore wherever and however I want. ✨
It’s one amazing thing I’m proud of and can’t wait to do again (with some help from Couchsurfing, of course 😉🌍).
Now, I’m lucky to share my travels with a new companion, which adds a whole new dimension and makes every trip special in its own way. ❤️✈️
Teach, Learn, Share
As I mentioned, I’m a musician and can teach you piano, guitar, drums, or some music theory - we might even try writing a song together! 🎶
My boyfriend is an opera singer, so he can share some cool tips and tricks if you’re interested. Plus, he’s a great cook, so maybe some cooking tips too! 👨🍳
I can also teach you a bit about photography - capturing moments is something I really enjoy. 📸
And if you want to practice your Latvian or Russian, I’m always up for a language exchange! 🗣️
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love exchanging different perspectives and stories - whether it’s about music, photography, or everyday life. I’m genuinely curious about your culture and experiences and happy to share mine too.
We can enjoy breakfast together, have a little language practice (Latvian or Russian), or even a spontaneous photo session if you’re up for it! 😊🍳📸
