Hi! I’m Dana. I’m 23 year old women who loves meeting new people and having new experiences. My motto in life is to meet as many different people and have as many experiences as I can! I am studying to become a neuroscientist and have a passion for philosophy, culture, and art.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to create a safe space for girls/queer folk to stay when travelling. I feel that it can often time feel very scary going to stay with a stranger, and after couch surfing with a friend I wanted to offer up my room for other people who are at an increased risk of danger/violence.

Really into the diaries of philosophers/artists/writers throughout history right now. Currently obsessed with Simone De Beauvoir, Frida Khalo, and Fran Leibowitz. Currently reading Kafka’s “Letters to Milena” and Rene Descartes “Meditations”. Really into Alice Phoebe Lou, Del Water Gap, The Beaches, and James Blake. Have watched Sex and the City 5x through!

I grew up in a very diverse setting and I believe that this has what’s made me so interested in the human condition. I love talking about differences and similarities in culture, how this has been formed, and how our histories inform the way we shape our societies. I think we can all learn from the mistakes and successes of those that we meet and that this is what truly challenges the perspectives that we have.
