ABOUT ME

I love to learn and experience new things and meet lively, interesting people. My daughter is a freshman at Georgia Tech. My husband is a homebody. We've been helping a friend raise her grandson for the past 7 years, he stays with us every weekend, and I am looking forward to traveling with him. He is a joy to be around, I often joke that he is like a kid you'd order from a catologue: sweet, smart, funny, adorable and curious.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just signed up so I don't know how it will evolve. My husband is an introvert and does not want houseguests so I will be available for sightseeing, meals together, conversing via email and such.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My daughter was a member of a jump rope team that traveled all over the world for demonstartions and competitions. I was a judge so I often traveled with the team. We've been to Germany, Belgium, France, Tortolla and Australia. We always stayed with host familes, which was a wonderful way to learn about other cultures and meet wonderful people. I'm hoping that couchsurfing will be like those experiences.

I'm interested in people. I like looking at beautiful things. I love to read, see movies and watch TV (mostly Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, A&E but I'll watch junk sometimes too). I garden and make jewelry.
