ABOUT ME

All about me? There's way too much to fit into this box, but I'm sure that's the case with everyone. I am a 26-year-old guy who has had the travel bug since I was born. The longest I've ever lived in one place was for 9 years, and that was from birth to 9 years old :) After that my family started moving around, and after I got older and left their house I moved around on my own. I used to only travel throughout California, but it's recently expanded to Nevada, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Canada, Spain, and Ireland. On my current adventure I'm roadtripping through the US. Driving from California to New York, and hoping to see many awesome things along the way :) As a career I am a childbirth educator, among other things, and soon I'll be an Emergency Medical Technician.

PHILOSOPHY

Why do I live my life? That's a question I wasn't expecting to answer...I might have to think about it for a while. I guess for now I can say that my personal journey is about facing my fears head on and conquering them. And with others I hope to help them live balenced lives, full of the freedom to do what truely makes them happy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm an acupressurist, and believe that things are best when everything is balanced. So I like to participate in the world by giving acupressure sessions to the people I meet in my travels. I think it's a great way to help balance out the world, one person at a time :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

You know, there was a time in my life when I was younger, when I was couchsurfing because I had to. I'm lucky that it's not like that anymore, and can't wait to be a temporary home for other travelers :)

Interests

I love horseback riding (though I have no horse, and haven't actually been riding since I was very young...), I like to sing and dance around. I love to read, and of course travel is way up there on my list.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most any kind of music is great to me. I enjoy the music that I grew up with, and some of the new music lately, but I love listening to traditional music, and hearing "old" music from different cultures. I like a lot of movies, especially really good horror movies and comedies. Books are wonderful. I'm a big fan of fiction, mostly sci-fi/fantasy stuff. I also love learning new things. I read a lot of books on chinese medicine, pregnancy/birth, nutrition, travel, and lots of other things, including zombies :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I have ever done was walk the Camino de Santiago with my friend Lis. Besides that, this is another one I will think about for a while. :)

I also have to include being present for the birth of a child. That is just incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

The CouchSurfing University. Wow. I cannot wait to be a part of it. I hope to teach people that happiness comes from within, that everyone's world is dependant on balance, and that keeping a positive atmosphere around you is necesary. I hope to learn how to accept the current world, with all of its faults, and not be overwhelmed by them. I hope to learn how to stop becoming angry or sad when I see all of the negative things that people do, and instead stand up and figure out how to change them.
