I just moved to Durham after spending the summer on a cross-country roadtrip with my partner, Sean. I'm a writer and musician, and I also do proofreading and transcription work to make ends meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the adventure and serendipity that Couchsurfing brings to travel experiences. It's fascinating to get a glimpse of someone else's life and see a new place through their eyes.

Now that I'm currently taking a break from traveling, however, I see Couchsurfing as a great way to meet people who love meeting people!

Interests

Being outside. Geeking out over weird bugs and plants. Writing stories and poems and songs. Feeding people. Snuggling cats.

Talking to people about where they live and what they love about it and what they don't, and what makes one community different from another.

Making and wearing costumes for any or no occasion. (I used to live in New Orleans.)

Making delicious food for large groups of people.

Midnight dance parties.

Octopuses. (Yes, that's the plural.)

I'd honestly love to learn anything you're passionate about, even (especially!) if it's something completely foreign to me. I'd also love to practice Spanish with you if you're game!
