ABOUT ME

I left sunny California about 3 years ago to come to London. I'm here studying contemporary dance and to discover the European art scene. Since living in London I have traveled to France, Italy, Belgium, and Denmark. I am currently learning French and a bit of Italian and Spanish when I can. I crave the sun year around. I am interested in languages, new experiences, and connecting with strangers. I think when you experience other cultures you learn more about yourself and the world becomes more available to you.

PHILOSOPHY

I tend to be drawn towards french post-structuralist philosophers in general. Everyone from Baudrillard, to Derrida, to Latour. I have recently gotten into Speculative Realism, including Quentin Meillassoux, Alain Badiou, and Ray Brassier. I keep myself sane with Zen Buddhism.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people from all over the world with different perspectives, life-styles, and histories. Everyone has a story to tell and a journey to take. Couch Surfing is an amazing way to connect with people and share cultures. I have had some great experiences while surfing and enjoy being part of the Couch Surfing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started my Couch Surfing experience in Brussels where I met a kind and sweet philosopher of sorts. I then traveled to Brugge, an extraordinary place unlike anywhere I've been, where I received royal treatment from my host. I returned to Brussels shortly after and connected with a very friendly and accommodating host who took me to some Couch Surfing events and introduced me to his friends. I have met some very interesting and engaging people through surfing in Belgium, and now I wouldn't travel any other way!

Now, I am curious to experience Couch Surfing in other parts of the world...
