To see the world, write a book, become an incredible doctor, communicate science, make friends and make the world a better place by being some combination of clinically insane and cheerful.

PHILOSOPHY

Respect others and respect yourself. ALWAYS try something different.

I have a strong sense of place and i feel that where you are influences you greatly. Place is not only physical, but also a sense of relationships and how everything is connected.

Lastly I'm somewhat obsessed with saving the world, however I don't expect anyone else to be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just started my year long trip through Europe and I hope to meet some interesting and awesome people through CS, while seeing a different side of a country or place. Friends of mine have put up some great couch surfers and when i return to renting in Perth i plan to do the same.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've slept on many a couch in my time, with a friend i met in Bristol, England in his amazing house in spain, with friends from australia in the loud and busy London, with two friends/comedy songwriters from LA during the fringe festival in Edinburgh, with my cousin in sydney who i hadnt seen in eleven years and many more...

Interests

ADVENTURE, RANDOMNESS AND SPONTANEITY - Love adventures that just seem to happen when you're friendly and outgoing in the right place at the right time. Enjoy the unconventional, dancing in the rain, sewing flowers, skinny dipping, doing something because its fun.

SCIENCE - Anything evidence based and correctly referenced gives me a good feeling inside (yes i am slightly crazy and a geek.) New discoveries in science that revolutionise our view of the world fascinate me. (OMG FTL speeding neutrinos)

HELPING PEOPLE/VOLUNTEERING - The biggest part of why I'm studying to be a doctor I'm heavily interested in human health and also how humans affect the environment.

READING AND WRITING - Words are my friends. I'm trying to write a novel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have quite a random taste in music but i like folk and indie music a lot.

I have a thing for old style horror movies. They make me laugh so much. Generally willing to give whatever a go though.

Books! I love all different genres (yes even romance novels) but more of my books are sci fi/fantasy than others. I'm going to attempt to read the best 100 books of all time over the next couple of years. I've gotten into graphic novels as of late and am currently enjoying the walking dead immensely.
