About Me

ABOUT ME

I am on a constant exploration to discover the amazing places the world has to offer. I am easy going, can be talkative if necessary, but also can go hours chilling in a park getting lost in a good book. I love to push my boundaries which is why I love extreme sports. I'm the kind of guy that acts first and thinks second. I have graduated with my Electrical Engineering Diploma and have spent a year designing the electrical components for McDonald's in western Canada. I needed a break and that has led me to the road trip I am on right now for the summer of 2013.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all kinds of music except punk and country. I love finding new music and am constantly buying cds from street performers that catch my ear. Currently, I am very into Electronic, and Alternative music. Couple bands include Bear Mountain, The National, Gui Borratto, Cat Stevens and more.

My favorite genre of movies are dramas. I love being invested in a character and going through the ups and down while seeing how they react to their situation. I really enjoy Foreign and Independent movies, but when I'm in the mood I enjoy an entertaining blockbuster hit, or a goofy comedy.

When it comes to books I find myself enjoying a wide variety. I generally read fictional novels, sometimes fantasy, crime thrillers, or coming of age stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The summer of 2013 two friends and I heard about an abandoned missile silo just outside of Denver Colorado and with only a general area of where it may be located we began our search. Our first attempt brought us to a fenced off area that belonged to the government. We later found out from a local that there were still active bombs in the area that never detonated and we were fortunate not to have triggered any of them. Finally, after asking everyone we saw in the small town of Bennett, we found some people that could tell us how to get there. We spent all night exploring the maze of tunnels 60' beneath the ground that cost the government millions of dollars only abandon a year later. Definitely one of the more exciting nights of my life.
