ABOUT ME

Currently, I work for a Community Service organization called Rustic Pathways. For about half of the year I live in Costa Rica running service programs for high school students. In the winter, I am usually on the road visiting schools for a promotional tour. Since I'm on the road for about nine months of the year, I don't really live anywhere (my home base is in Columbus, Ohio).

I studied English and Theater in College, but haven't been as active as I would like since the new job started. I still find time to write and have a little minor success with some short scripts. I also love open mics and guitars...although I can never remember the words.

After college I got into teaching and worked in Language Arts and ESL as well as teaching Theater for after school programs with kids.

PHILOSOPHY

It's all about positive energy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Positive energy.

Even though I'm on the road most of the time, I try to be as helpful as possible. That might mean giving a ride, extending a hand, or giving a couch to use.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've slept on many a couch in my travels (and even a few train stations) - my pad is always welcome and my couch has had its share of visitors.

I started this whole craze on a website called "Global Freeloaders" and moved on to "Better than the Van" - both good sites for places to crash, but the word on the street is that Couch Surfers is the best.
