ABOUT ME

A movie maker and heavy dreamer, I am intent on being able to fit all of my possessions in a shoe box. My favorite pastimes include... Touching rocks, arguing, drinking poison, cotton shorts, and other very normal/relatable things.

I went to college reluctantly and in many places. Here's the short version: St. Louis>Chicago>Costa Rica>Rhode Island>New Hampshire>Flagstaff. After 3 years and about 1 year of actual learning I got a piece of paper that says I'm entitled to be honored and respected by my family and peers. Over the last year and a half or so I've had the good fortune of traveling extensively! I climbed rocks in Patagonia, was a bum in Indian Creek Utah, drove from LA to Seattle on Highway 1, worked in Telluride CO, took a trip to Montana and Idaho, and spent six weeks in India and Nepal. I climbed high altitude volcanos, drank mescal, and swam in caves in Mexico, but then heard the call to return to civilization. Now I'm living in Oakland and trying to eke out an existence as a filmmaker.

Fun Facts!

-My real name is Danger. This makes some people smile, but most uncomfortable.

-I was born in Kansas, raised in Missouri, and have been trying to escape the midwest ever since.

-I have a tendency to observe people's footwear. It says a lot about them.

-I wanted to be a glass maker when I grew up. When that fell through, I decided not to grow up.

-My conscience speaks in the voice of Werner Herzog. German is the next language I will learn.

-My favorite Disney movies are Peter Pan, Aladdin, and The Rescuers Down Under.

-My truck's name is Fiona, but I affectionately call her Beefcake the Meat Queen.

I host prolifically (when I have a home to offer...) and I surf! People are great.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch Surfing opened up a world of opportunities for me. It has made travel so much more possible and positive, and has introduced me to travelers from all walks of life.

Too much really but anything that doesn't take itself too seriously to pull off an enjoyable Director's Commentary. Safe bets: Herzog, the Coens, anything campy or that uses puppets. If it doesn't fall into this category it better be earnest to the point of absurdity.

Nonfictions. Also The Mosquito Coast, Lolita, Vonnegut, Fitzgerald steamy romance novels.
