About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a Welshman living in Ningbo, China and enjoying myself very much. I laugh a lot, and far too loud, so I'm told. Definitely a big nature lover, I like going to parks, or better, mountain hikes and swimming. And I love making things too, working with my hands a lot. I make leather bags and wallets, bookbinding, all kinds of things, and always looking to learn more. And of course I like my creature comforts like good food and getting on well with folks. I think I'm fairly easygoing, so hopefully that can happen aplenty!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a couple of people in Ningbo, and am always open to couchsurfing! Moving into a new place soon, so hopefully will be able to host more folks.

And even if you're not looking for a couch, I'm always willing to meet people coming to my city and show you around or help out!

Interests

Ah, so many. Especially, I'm big into arts and craft work, I love making things with my hands- so I sometimes have to clear aside files and hammers and such before friends come visiting! Presently working a lot with leather, but I'm looking to learn metalsmithing next. I'm fascinated by how all manner of things work.

Other than that, I'm a fan of movies, comedy shows and theatre, being outdoors in the countryside, going walking, cooking, and a few geeky things like Dungeons and Dragons and MTG.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well if you can teach me how to make something, you're guaranteed to become one of my favourite people!

The most useful thing I can teach is often cooking- and English, if you need, since that is my job. I have pretty good Chinese, so I can teach that a bit to my fellow foreigners. Right now I'm learning piano from a friend, and am helping him make a wallet in return!
