About Me

I don't like too much to talk about me because I have the impression that I am selling myself and I don't like the world of marketing. I prefer that people meet me. Anyway, I understand that in a site like this it's necessary to describe a little myself.

First of all, I'll say that I try to be an open-minded person and tolerant with others ways of thinking. I am only intolerant with people who is intolerant (for example with nazis or fascists).

I try to have critical sense and I'm politically aware with all things that I consider really importants: the respect for the animals, the care of the environment, the social inequality, the sexism...

For me, everybody is different but, at the same time, everybody diserve the same treatment and the same opportunities. It doesn't matter for me if you are born in one place of the world or another. It's accidental. Everywhere there are good and bad persons. I don't like the borders.

And finally, I would say that I'm a little romantic person who still believes that it's possible to built a better world based on human relations, cooperation and solidarity. A world where abuse of power, materialism and discrimination are out of place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, Couchsurfing was an amazing discovery because it fits perfectly in my view of life. I love travel, but I don't like to be a tourist. I prefer to be a traveller. And couchsurfing let me that. I love know and discover the culture, the customs and the people of the place where I go. Every culture is interesting for me and I would like to know each place of my planet.

And by the other side, I love the philosophy of Couchsurfing. This philosophy consist in TO SHARE and it is also a way of life for me. The new ideal world that I would like to built should be based on this. To share things, knowledges, views of life, smiles, fun... .

Everybody has any thing for share. It means that Couchsurfing is not simply a way of hosting free. Couchsurfing is an exchange.

Interests

I love the culture in general. Probably, my first passion is to read. I love Literature (it's logicall because I have studied it) but I have another passions: art (painting, architecture...), cinema, politics, history, philosophy...I think that to have passions in my life let me to feel alive.

I like many styles of music (jazz, ska, flamenco...) and I love the live music. Each style is appropiate for each moment, so I can enjoy with classical music as with a punk band. And one important thing: Flamenco is not Sevillanas!

I also like active activities. I have played sports all my life, specially basket (in spite of I'm not very very tall!).

Of course, travelling and knowing differents cultures is another passion for me despite I haven't the opportunity of travel a lot, but it's never late for start!

I prefer to be with people who has the same interests. I like to go to any bar for have a drink and to have interesting and deep conversations.

If your first interest is go shopping, go to partys or go to the disco, it is better that you look for other person. I'm not the more appropiate host or guest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach spanish because i have academic training as Spanish teacher.

I think that I live in one of the most beatiful and charming cities of the world and I enjoy showing his architecture, his history and his peculiarities. However, I'm not a very traditional person (quite the opposite) and I don't like the main traditions of my land like the Feria de Abril, the bullfighting, the Holy Week, the romería del Rocío or the others catholic feasts (yes, i'm a bizarre sevillian boy) but I have not any problems for explain it and talk about. I think we should protect the local traditions but not all the traditions are good for me.

I am now trying to improve my fluency in differents languages but if you are with me, I ask you for some patience, because I am still far of to be fluent. Speaking languages let me to meet and to speak with lots of different and interesting people and this is the first motivation for me.
