Hello! Hello! My partner Zac and I are heading to the big island of Hawaii in November to immerse ourselves in a wonderful community and gain new skills and experiences for a few months!

Danielle has travelled SE Asia and New Zealand and had amazing experiences meeting people from all over the world. Zac has traveled abroad in the Middle East, including a year long stay at Ashram Bamidbar in the desert of Israel.

We both work in environmental education teaching kids to love and connect and protect the earth. We are incredibly personable, open-minded and passionate individuals that enjoy meeting new people, and building and supporting community ! We have great interest in learning more about sustainable living, eco-building and gardening. We are both silly humans that love meeting and bonding with more silly humans :)love being outdoors, and can often be found hiking, camping, cooking and sharing meals, doing yoga, meditation, crafting/ jewelry making, enjoying outdoor fires, making healthy meals, learning, laughing, and loving this beautiful earth. Also, we love animals of all sorts ! We are very respectful individuals and are always looking to give back in any way we can !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been travelling for the past few years! Through couchsurfing I hope to create a deeper connection to locals of the region I am visiting, and to understand the culture and region from a whole new perspective, and a even gain some insiders advice. I would also love to share and learn new languages. There is nothing more valuable to me than the connections that I have made in my life, and who doesn't want more friends anyway???

I can listen to pretty much anything, anything that I can move to or sing to ! I am not very fond of heavy rap, or country music, but I do love seeing live music of any kind!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love to learn some local cooking recipes and experience local cuisine. I have mostly been eating vegetarian (but I am open to trying anything new). I would enjoy sharing languages ( speak english and know some spanish!), experiences, and ideas about life :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share stories, cooking, a love for yoga, ideas, pictures, philosophies, and just talk life ! I am very passionate about the environment. I love to teach about environmental education and sustainability where ever I can. I have also been crocheting for almost 15 years now so i would love to teach the art of hat making.
