Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined Couch surfing in 2012 because I am in love with traveling. I have participated in several activities in Dubai and would like to become more active, hosting and surfing. (if you want to stay with me, please mention the two secret words. The first one is Bo, the second one you have to look for!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met amazing, culturally-diverse and interesting people. Like-minded in believing in borderless travel and a sense of community that goes with it. I have always loved meeting people from new cultures and learning about their countries and traditions. Couch surfing is the best place to get enriched with culture without even leaving home.

Favorite Music: I have a very eclectic taste: I love traditional Arab music Arabic pop singers, socially-inspired singers (Ziad Rahbani, Marcel Khalife). But I also like Western Rock, soul and various other genres.

Top Five movies: Old Boy (Korean), Godfather (1&2), Apocalypse Now, Shawshank Redepmtion, Fight Club,

Books: Since I am a literature student, Books are like food. I crave them all the time and i do have an eclectic taste in books too.

Favorite Arab authors/Poets: Najeeb Mahfouz (I think he is a genius), Nizar Qabbani, Mahmoud Darwish, Saadallah Wannous, Tayeb Saleh, Ghassan Kanafani

Favorite Western authors/Poets: Shakespeare (the guy really was a genius, it's true), Graham Greene, Ernst Hemingway, Jane Austen, Milan Kundera, and numerous others
