I'm a child of a former Air Force captain, and since being in the military is usually synonymous with traveling, I was bitten by the travel bug at an early age. I work hard but I also play hard, I love to travel several times a year, and once a year I like to go to someplace new, be it local or international. Currently on my bucket list to travel are South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, Poland and Ireland. I'm also an avid video gamer and I love bringing my 3DS to new places and picking up spot passes!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been using AirBnB for the same reason; I want to see and feel around a culture by living like a local. How much better can it be to really understand and experience the world by experiencing it like how one lives in their culture?

My favorite books are The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series, Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, Dr Sleep, Gone Girl and The Pillars of the Earth.

Movies would be Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight series, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Blade Runner, Interview with the Vampire, Rashomon, Yojimbo, Mononoke-hime, Spirited Away, Seven Samurai, While You Were Sleeping, and various Disney movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to the Weeping Wall in Jerusalem, there is such an energy there that I have never felt before.

I speak some Japanese and would love to learn more. I would also love to geek out and talk about anything sci-fi or fantasy related, as well as real games! I love playing board games too.

I'm a great cook and would love to cook with or for you. I'm extremely adaptable to my environment; if you go to bed early, I can also sleep early. If you are a night owl, we will be best friends. I'm also a very heavy sleeper so most noises do not bother me. I'm an animal lover and not allergic to anything, so I will treat your pets with the utmost respect. I'm very tidy and quiet in the morning, and will make sure I leave my space clean for you without waking you up.
