Hi!
I’m Danica from China. I graduated with a master’s degree in the UK two years ago, and during a trip to Bangkok I unexpectedly ended up taking a teaching job and stayed for about a year. I’m planning to quit my job next year and move to a new country, but I’m still feeling a bit unsure and hoping this journey will bring some inspiration.

I’ve mostly traveled solo and have been to around 20 countries so far. I really enjoy conversations that go beyond small talk — whether it’s about travel stories, culture, food, art, or life in general. I believe the best part of traveling is the people you meet along the way.

I’m currently traveling on a budget, but I always try to contribute in my own way — cooking a meal together, sharing stories, or helping out when I can. I’m respectful, tidy, and easygoing, and I treat any place I stay as if it were my own home.

In my free time, I love cooking, outdoor activities, music, art, and exploring local neighborhoods rather than rushing through tourist spots. I’m curious, open-minded, and always happy to try something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ll be traveling during my winter break from December 27 to March 8 next year.
I plan to spend around one month in Europe (mainly Italy, especially Florence and Tuscany), followed by over a month in Mexico.

I’m traveling slowly and spontaneously and on a budget, and I’m looking for hosts who are open to sharing a bit of local life, conversations.
