I was born #5 of 7 living siblings, and grew up in the desert near Mesa. Most of my jobs have been in the education field: teaching, testing, and tutoring. I am grateful to anyone willing to trust me to enter his home and will not betray that trust. I would rather be a benefit than a burden. I like to joke and share stories and photographs. I am a heterosexual vegan voluntar(y)ist. I don't drink alcohol or caffeine (usually), or smoke. Don't feel like you must eat like me, but I do prefer not to be around smoke. (I don't even like campfires.) I plan to bring my own food unless you like cooking vegan food and you'll let me help and pay for the meal.

I love adventure but I am not rich, so I try to save money. While I'm a cheapskate, I'm not disrespectful or ungrateful. I will be a clean, helpful guest and I want the experience to be good for both of us. I plan to buy my own food because I'm vegan and it's easier that way, but if I eat your food I am happy to pay for it. I like to experience the beauty of nature and art in unfamiliar places and practice other languages. As of June 2018, I have been living in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico for nearly three months. It's good to see new places but I also enjoy the friendships I have made with kind, generous and interesting people here.

Quiero adventura pero no soy rico, entonces trato a ahorrar dinero. A pesar de soy un codo, no soy irrespeto o desagradecido. Estará un huésped limpia y servicial y quiero que la experiencia es bueno para ambos de nosotros. American Sign Language: If I stay with a signing person/group, I can study beforehand to make things easier, but I'm not very good and would have to spell many words. Spanish: I can do simple, slow conversations in Spanish; understanding speech is the hardest part for me. German: I know very little German.

Not amazing, but interesting: I spent a month on Hawai'i Island (the Big Island) and explored it by foot, bus, and hitchhiking. That is quite an interesting place to explore because of its strange features and history. Many consider it to be an occupied country and are seeking its independence.
