About Me
Hi there! I’m Daniel, an American university student in the process of getting his BA in history and journalism! I grew up in a rather small, rural town in the eastern United States, so I unfortunately didn’t get the chance to see many people or places growing up. That said, I’ve grown to love getting in a car and heading somewhere fresh or hopping on a plane to new adventures. I’m somewhat of a reserved guy, but otherwise open and friendly to people from anywhere and hope we can all enjoy the experiences we’re fortunate to have!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to save money and meet people in the places I visit. I’m used to staying in AirBNBs and hostels while traveling alone, so budget traveling and interacting with new faces is something I’m growing used to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done is traveled across Great Britain in less than two months to see 20 cathedrals for a research fellowship. Prior to this, I had never traveled abroad, I had never stayed someone alone, and I had never been away from friend and family for so long. I got to see more of the United Kingdom than I’ve seen of the United States as a result, as well as meeting plenty of new faces and trying new experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I tend to be clean and respectful of rules. I try not to be difficult and try to be mindful of others. I have no known allergies or dietary issues, but will respect any houserules regarding either. I do not smoke. I occassionally drink alcohol, but in moderation. I tend to be a late-riser in the morning, but I do actual enjoy mornings once up.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Scotland, Switzerland, United States, Wales
