About Me

I'm 18, from Sydney, Australia. I just finished school, having done the International Baccalaureate. Over the next month I'll be travelling Europe, mainly Germany and Italy.

English is my mother-tongue. I can speak German fairly well, I studied it as a subject in school. Geil, oder? I can also confidently order a coffee in Italian (my favourite way to drink it is "caffè ristretto" or as a short black) but that's about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was recommended by a friend and I want to try it out because I think it will be a cool way to travel. I hope to meet lots of people who share both their friendship and culture with me!

Interests

Travel, obviously :)

I also enjoy playing music (mainly Piano, Ukulele and Singing, but also others), going to the gym (and fitness in general), and good food!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Signed up for Couchsurfing ;)

But seriously. Probably one of the most memorable and amazing experiences I've ever had was the Kosiuszko to Coast "20 Day" Trek that I did in school. Mt. Kosiuszko (Kosi) is the highest point in Australia. On this trek, we started in Guthega, which is in Kosi National Park. Over the 20 days we carried all of our food and equipment with us, we hiked for 10 days, and canoed for 10 days. We climbed up Mt. Kosi, then came down and made our way all the way down to Australia's South Coast in Victoria. We travelled a total of 273km. This was both exhausting and enriching; I learned so much about myself and saw so many amazing things. I canoed down the some of the most dangerous white water in the Southern Hemisphere. I ate Witchetty grubs and lived off the land. So many amazing memories. This experience is why I love travelling and want to see the World!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach lots of fun little things. Party tricks, if you will. Some examples include origami, juggling and ukulele, all of which I have taught successfully to many friends!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My amazing company! Also I'm more than likely to bring you special surprises if you host me (food probably)!
