Hi, I’m Daniel, originally from the beautiful city of Coimbra, Portugal. I’ve always been curious about the world—whether it was exploring nature as a kid, asking endless questions, or just marveling at how much there is to learn and experience.

Traveling has been a huge part of my life. Once I started, I couldn’t stop! I’ve been to over 45 countries across almost every continent, and every trip has left me with a deeper appreciation for the way people, cultures, and nature are all connected. It’s taught me to embrace the unknown, live in the moment, and treasure the stories and connections that come with meeting new people.

Couchsurfing has been such a meaningful part of my travels. It’s not just about having a place to stay—it’s about the people you meet. Some of the friends I’ve made through Couchsurfing are still in my life today, and those connections are priceless.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most incredible experiences of my life was witnessing the Great Migration in Kenya in 2024. Seeing thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles moving across the savannah in unison was like watching a natural symphony. The scale of the migration, combined with the raw beauty of the Maasai Mara, left me in awe of the interconnectedness of life and nature’s delicate balance. It was a moment that deeply humbled me and reinforced my passion for exploring the wonders of our planet.
