I live in the North East of England near a town called Middlesbrough about 250 miles from London. I currently work as a security officer which involves lots of night shifts and very long hours. When I'm not working I love spending time with my friends and loved ones. I really enjoy keeping fit by practising martial arts and I'm currently in the process of trying to learn German too. My interests are varied and range from music, games and movies to thinking about deep topics such as where did we come from and how do we live a good life. I am very interested in hearing other people's views and perspectives on things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had an interest in traveling for a while now and I've recently decided that now is the time I would like to actually do it. I'm very excited by the prospect of getting the opportunity to experience new places and to meet new people. I am also really intrigued by the way Coachsurfing works and the unique perspective you get to experience a new place with a local person who knows their hometown well. It seems like a much more special and interesting way of exploring the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I really enjoy music and have a very varied taste. My absolute favourites are old 1980s songs but I also listen to a lot of modern music like Calvin Harris, Rihanna, Taylor Swift etc.

Movies - I am a big Christian Bale fan and enjoy movies like American Psycho and Equilibrium. I have largely missed out on the whole superhero movie craze but it would be really fun to check them out eventually and see what I'm missing.

Books - I'm trying to make a bigger effort to read new books in 2019. My favourite author is Sam Harris.
