A tall stranger who wants to meet everyone, in spite of a fair leaning towards introversion. That is to say, I've been called many things, from "serene" to "wild card". I'm fond of languages, nature, music and literature, although I'm drawn to anything that brings me closer to other people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a firm believer in the concept of couchsurfing, although so far I have only played the role of host for travelling bands, such as Faith Healer, Meat Wave, Old Cabin, and The Burning Hell.
Music, Movies, and Books
Neko Case, Andy Shauf, Faith Healer
Wendy & Lucy, C'est pas moi je le jure, The Misfits
The Dharma Bums, The Bell Jar, Franny and Zooey
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This one time at band camp...
I wrote a master's thesis about Winnipeg art, in particular John K. Samson and the Weakerthans, and I'm still bewildered that they let me do it in French. It took me four years to complete, but I finished in May 2016 and decided I wanted to see more of Canada by taking a road trip to the east coast.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share music, conversation and humour, as well as the assurance of respectful company.
