About Me

I'm friendly and understanding. I am often told that people find it easy to become close to me. I do not pass judgment on others and I try to find a reason to love even those who I feel have wronged me. I do not hesitate to apologize when it seems necessary. I have no aspirations to become rich or famous or powerful. I simply want to live a comfortable life without the stress of living paycheck to paycheck and to keep kind people around me. I want to keep learning about the experience of life for me and for others and to find some way I can make a modest living doing something that I love and that benefits others somehow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess I'm just tired of the old rat race and all the people caught up in it. I need some fresh faces and new places and to learn a thing or two.

Specifically (vaguely), I will be touring the country starting west from Massachusetts over to the northwest, then south along the coast, then meander across the midwest on my way back. Traveling will occur July-Septemberish of 2015.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sailed a square-rigged ship around the Caribbean with a bunch of other crazy people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can surely pick up some groceries so it doesn't seem like I expect to eat your food (I sometimes have a ravenous appetite). I will gladly try my hand cooking for you (I'm best with breakfast) but mainly I can offer housekeeping tasks. I'll clean up your kitchen, take out the trash, tidy up in general. I will also help with any tasks or projects you are working on that you just need another hand for. I learn things quickly and I take instruction well. I'm not looking to stay with any one host for very long but I am happy to help while I am there to show my appreciation for a bed and shelter.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Canada, Cuba, Denmark, Grenada, Portugal, Puerto Rico
