About Me

Hi there, I’m Daniel—an adventurous soul from Melbourne with a real love for connecting with people and sharing stories. I’ve worked across different worlds, from personal styling to nonprofit, and along the way I’ve come to value honesty, trust, and genuine collaboration.

I’m drawn to deep conversations, different cultures, and the little hidden gems that make a place feel special.

After going through cancer, I’ve come out the other side with a stronger sense of gratitude and a real desire to experience more of life—new places, new people, and whatever unexpected things come my way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think travel’s about more than ticking off sights—it’s about connecting with the soul of a place through the people who live there. That’s why I love the idea of Couchsurfing. It’s a chance to really get to know a place, share stories, and create moments that actually stay with you.

After some time spent recovering and reflecting, I’m ready to see the world with fresh eyes and meet people who are open, curious, and up for meaningful connection.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

SURVIVED getting Covid in March 2020, right in the middle of rounds of chemo in hospital—definitely one of the tougher chapters of my life. Getting through it taught me a lot about resilience and gave me a deeper appreciation for how fragile (and strong) life can be.

Oh, and I also lived with monks for a month in the far north of Thailand.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m always up for sharing what I know—whether it’s personal styling tips, organising spaces, or things I’ve picked up navigating life’s twists and turns. I love learning from others too—especially different ways of living, local traditions, or anything that offers a fresh perspective. I’m all about good conversation, a few laughs, and meaningful moments. Happy to swap stories, share a meal, or help out where I can—and while I wouldn’t call myself a chef, I’m a decent cook.
