Overview
About Me
I'm a comic book writer and cook from Milwaukee, WI recently moved to Providence, RI.
In recent years I've begun to pursue a career as a comic writer, but continue to support myself as a cook. I've worked mostly in Vegan/Vegetarian specialty restaurants in the States, but I've also cooked on farms in Central America, on a 500+ person kibbutz in Israel, and at a cooperative organic cafe out of a garage.
I'm a creatively driven person and have committed my life to mastering the craft of storytelling. I'm also passionate about playing in bands, learning new culinary tricks, and working in cooperative communities.
Miscellaneous list: I'm a lifelong vegetarian, love tea (mostly vegetal greens), enjoy keeping many house plants & a garden, care for two lizards & a cat, read science-fiction & fantasy, environmentalist, feminist, practice amateur herbalisim, listen to a lot of music, but mostly hip hop, enjoy cartoons & tv, play dungeons & dragons, some video games, and board games.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I recently lived in India and Nepal for a year and had a wonderful experience couch surfing, while traveling between jobs. It's a great way to get to know locals of the city you're visiting and I get to swap stories of my travels and work. I'll be traveling around the U.S. to table at comic book conventions to promote and sell my books and thought couch surfing would be a great option for finding places to stay for the weekend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's not "amazing" that I personly did so, but it was subjectively amazing hiking 5-days in Nepal up to the base of Machapuchare, never once passing another person. I never thought I'd be that high up in my life or see mountains like that or walk up through clouds. I mean, ba-jesus, ya know? I got plenty videos and photos I could show ya of a bunch of my travels!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always interested in learning to cook new things.
Looking forward to learning other people's cultures.
Willing to share whatever I can I suppose?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have plenty of stories from past travels that most people say are worth a listen. I can also blab about what I know about science or mythology or anthropology and show you the process for storytelling and writing I use for my comic book scripts. I'd also love to cook for you if you want to try something in my vegetarian repertoire!
