I'm a PhD student in Language Teaching at the Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia in Italy. Venice is lovely and frustrating. Luckily the spritz helps to cope with the difficult parts.

I love traveling and meeting new people.

I'm new to Italy and my Italian is still a bit limited. Since I will be here for a few years, I'm looking to make some new friends, improve my Italian, explore the city :-)

I'm not sure I really have tastes in this regard. I like to go to a library and randomly pull books from the shelves. Sometimes I like them, sometimes no. It only recently dawned on me that it's not normal that I don't really have an author I follow religiously. Not even really a genre. Not fantasy though. And not science fiction.

As for music, I like pop music and classical :-) Britney Spears and Debussy are two of my favs

I'm respectful and independent. I have used couchsurfing before, but I had to create a new account (because it's been a couple of years and I can't remember the details of my old account), so my positive reviews are not currently viewable.

But otherwise, I'm usually up for anything. Grabbing a beer, watching a film. When I'm in Paris though, it's often for work, so I'm usually away during the day.
