I love the way the sinking sun melts over the mountain tops and fills the cloud bottoms at sunset. I love the smell of fresh mown grass, and the twitter of birds as they tug threads from my doormat for their nests. I love hot coffee on cold crisp mornings and the way hills watermark purple against a predawn sky. I love hearing an idea I’ve never heard before. I enjoy being proven wrong. I love music, the thunder of Brahms and teardrops of Chopin. I love surprise kisses and hungry hands.

I think God gave us aging eyes so we can’t see the wrinkles, and gave us fading memories so we can enjoy the same dumb stories again and again. I love pranks and terrible puns, and think a groan is as good as a laugh.
