About Me

Hello! I'm 21 years old and I'm currently working for an engineering company in Bristol, while studying for my Master's in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Surrey. I'm a follower of Christ and enjoy talking about faith.

When I met my friend Daniel in my first year of University, he asked if I wanted to go on a trip in the Summer. I thought: "Why not?". My parents hoped I would think: "That could be dangerous and expensive, so I won't do it.". Alas, I unfortunately had an amazing time and got the travel bug for good. Since then I have organised my own trips and intend to go on a big trip to Latin America at the end of my Master's course.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people from different cultures so they can recommend places to visit and things to do with the local knowledge that they have. It will give a more authentic experience of the country, rather that just visiting all the touristy hotspots and having a normal holiday. I'm all about the memories to be made on a trip; how boring would it be if everything went smoothly.

(also I want to save as much money as possible so that I can afford to keep going on trips and meeting new people and having new experiences)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For someone who is a very spur-of-the-moment person. I am surprisingly good at organising travelling. Summer of 2025 I had a mammoth task before me. I wanted to visit as many countries as I could and go with friends from home too. This ended up involving planning 4 sets of people to join and leave me at different, pre-defined parts of the trip. I had to be like a needle, looping through the destinations.

It doesn't sound like it's that difficult. But, I had to organise this during full time University and writing my dissertation and working part-time too. What is more impressive than the organising was actually being able to do it. Goodness me, it was not smooth sailing at parts.

The trip was as follows.
- Fly to Kosovo with Daniel and travel around there hitchhiking.
- Solo-travel to North Macedonia for a couple of days and fly to Antalya to continue solo-travelling.
- Zac meets me in Antalya and we go to Alanya to meet Jihan who's on a family holiday there.
- Solo-travel to Nicosia and meet Riley and Michael in Larnaca.
- Travel to Troodos (my goodness, it was not as simple as 3 words. I have a deep hate for the Cypriot transport).
- Fly to Thessaloniki from Paphos with Riley and Michael.
- Solo-travel to Mandraki and attempt an 8 hour hike to the top of Mount Radomir (I only made it half-way. Mountains are big, it turns out).
- Hitchhike from Neochori to Serres.
- Travel to Sofia from Serres to meet Tre.
- Visit The 7 Rila Lakes.
- Travel with Tre to Brasov & Sighisoara in Romania, Chisinau in Moldova, Tiraspol in Transnistria (Pridnestrovie).
- Fly with Tre to Bologna and travel to Rimini, where we explored San Marino before flying back from Rimini to the UK.

This trip was almost a month long. (I also visited Rome, The Vatican & Valletta with Muir a couple days before this).

The shear amount of things that went wrong on this trip and I still made it back safely; I have to give thanks to God for being with me.
