About Me

I'm a calm, polite, but also very easy-going person. I strive to be the perfect gentleman, and to stay honest in every situation. I love to travel all around the world, visit new places, meet new people, exchange thoughts and gather new experiences. :)

I'm currently employed as a software engineer for a major multinational company. I aim to do precision work, and I'm always dedicated to do the best I can. I also did translation work for over a decade.

Since I only live once, I try to achieve the most that's humanly possible. I try to break my own limits, be the best I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm just starting with Couchsurfing, and I would like to participate, both surfing and hosting. I started to visit misc. CS events as well. I'm still new at Couchsurfing, but I already surfed in Malmö and Luxembourg, and it was a very interesting experience.

Interests

Beside my job (which is also a hobby of mine) I like to do all kinds of sports. I read everything about scientific discoveries and new technologies.

I travel a lot, whenever the mood strikes me. I collect fridge magnets, so whenever I go to the kitchen, I feel a sudden urge to visit some undiscovered land. :)

I'm really into live poker (which is not gambling for me). It changed my personality a lot, taught me to increase my patience even further, and to better understand different personalities. I aim to become a professional, and try to invest the time and energy needed to gain the necessary knowledge to achieve this.

I enjoy high quality red wines, especially when combined with quiet, peaceful nights and long talks.

Music, Movies, and Books

Science, fiction, romance.. whatever makes my heart pump faster.
Music above all, be it classical or modern. Love the opera, jazz, blues, rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was once held up by non-English speaking, but fully armed lebaneese soldiers for accidentally walking by a military arms depot with a digital camera in my hand at 2am, in the outskirts of Beirut. Had a reeeally hard (but fun) time explaining myself. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Many years ago I started travelling the world, and I'm not going to stop anytime soon. By now I have a much better understanding about the world that surrounds me. If others can gain from that - all the better.
