About Me

I prefer gay-friendly hosts and guests; so if you have a problem with that, move on.

CURRENT MISSION

(Cliché warning:) Experience as much of the world as possible and meet interesting people along the way. Even though I currently have a corporate job (pays the bills), I want to stay in touch with the reality of the world and detach from the rat race that some of us are forced to endure.

ABOUT ME

American living in Vienna. I'm easy-going, down-to-earth, and like to laugh.

I moved to Vienna for university 3 years ago and found that European lifestyle appeals to me. I enjoy everything the city and the continent has to offer! I like meeting new and interesting people, experiencing city- and country-life all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I travel alone, I want to meet new people and experience new things with the people who know the place best. I honestly haven't had the opportunity to use Couchsurfing much during my travels because I usually travel in big groups, but have had great experiences with it so far! Being a social person, solo-travel gets boring and I prefer to hang out with people who are like-minded and fun to be around.

I'm also involved in a CS group locally in Vienna for language exchange, German-English.

Interests

Cooking, a bit of sport, traveling, cycling, reading, oh, and COOKING!

Music, Movies, and Books

Way too many of these to list here, but currently reading Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Afghani author Khaled Hosseini, and re-reading books in German that I've read in English.

I'm brushing up on "foreign" films (because as an American, this part of cinema culture is missing from my life and living in Europe allows me to fill that gap).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wouldn't rank this on any list until my death-bed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, laughter, good vibes, genuine interest in new things, friendliness, and a home-cooked meal if they allow me to do so in their home

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Cambodia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Puerto Rico, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, United Kingdom, United States
