CURRENT MISSION

I have a bucket list of things to do and the next few items will be checked off starting in July. I will be travelling to Australia and trying to have the most authentic Australian cultural experience that I can.

ABOUT ME

I was raised by parents who love to travel, but with so much to see and a family of five, we had to do it the cheapest way possible. We have been on road trips all over the United States and through that I have been to every state and we camped most of the way. Camping, not only helped me to appreciate what I have, but it helped me to live with just the things I need. I am pretty adventurous and I think of myself as ambitious. I have a bucket list that I am always checking things off of and learning new skills along the way. Right now I'm done with school and looking to see and experience a little more of the world while I have the chance.

PHILOSOPHY

I love Jesus Christ because he died for my sins so I can go to heaven. I do not judge others or discriminate if you don't believe what I do, I just try to be an example of how a christian should live. I try to display the fruits of the spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. I think this makes me easy to get along with and fun to be around which is good because I like meeting people and hanging out with friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I did some couchsurfing through Europe for a few months in the summer of 2013. While I was there I participated in many couchsurfing meetups and get togethers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through Europe I was able to use couchsurfing.org to meetup with people and make friends. I have done couchsurfing by word of mouth or meeting nice people in my travels. I have spent weeks at a time sleeping on people's couches and this website seems like a place where I will fit right in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I love movies. I will list some of my favorites: The Shawshank Redemption, Inception, Sahara, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Man Who Knew Too Little, Batman, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Crazy Stupid Love, Forrest Gump, Gladiator, Patriot, Warrior, Saving Private Ryan, Dumb and Dumber, and anything Pixar does.

TV Show: Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Survivor, HIMYM, 7th Heaven, Little House on the Prairie, The Office, Chuck, Parks and Recreation, Top Gear(BBC...duh), and many other random good shows.

Music: I think that all music has it's place and I can enjoy almost any genre. Some of my favorite artists from different genres are John Mayer, Daft Punk, Relient K, Colbie Callat, Brad Paisley, Diana Panton, and Wolves at the Gate.

Books: I am usually a fan of any mainstream book series(Hunger Games, Game of Thrones) and love stories of adventure and the wilderness.(Into the Wild, Into Thin Air)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can say that Alaska is a beautiful place that I very much enjoyed. It is a new experience and an unlikely vacation spot, but is sure to be an adventure you will never forget. I spent some time working in the lower Yukon delta and went to Eskimo villages. It was a cultural experience I cannot compare to anything lse I have ever done. If you ever get the chance see the real Alaska, not just the places a cruise ship could take you(although that part is amazing too).

I want to learn anything that I don't know.

There are many things that I can teach: Snowboarding, Longboarding, Motorcycle Riding, Automotive Care, Photography, Guitar, and Woodworking. Now comes the weird stuff: Breathing Fire, Riding a Unicycle, Juggling, and a few other random things that I dabble in.
