About Me

ABOUT ME

These sorts of questions always perplex me: do I tell you about myself as i see myself or how i think other people see me?

I don't know what other people say about me when i'm not around, so i suppose i'm left to tell you what i think they think (a dangerous business to be sure) and then try to synthesize that into some coherent self-appraisal for you perusal.

So, here we go.

I've moved around for allot of my life (at first because of an indecisive pair of parents, later because of personal and professional choices) so the idea of participating in a huge, international community of travelers and hosts excites me to no end.

I'm an actor by trade, so my life is largely lived out of suitcases and boxes, but i always try to bring some part of my home with me wherever i go, whether it be in a hat, or a book, or a cup or a pair of shoes; whatever it is, i find that it's nice to carry home with you.

I'm a little long winded, but i am fascinated by people, so bring your stories and i'll listen gladly.

I'm of a generally energetic disposition, and i need precious little from a host family beyond a flat surface on which to sleep, and maybe a place to call 'lavatory'.

If you like to feed your guests, rest happy that i'm not a picky eater and i love to try new things.

Interests

Reading, writing, hiking, running (sometimes) boating, singing, dancing (can a southern boy get some Contra Dance love?), comic books, video games, table top role playing games (i roll d20 deep), and long, laborious conversations about life, the universe and everything...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to go to a family wedding and watch my cousin, whom i had not seen since i was a wee little chilln, throw a wedding together in a whirlwind of smoke, hope, and unrelenting love for her new husband. They let me help, and i walked away feeling like a member of a long lost family.
