Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My wife and I regularly offer guest rooms at our home in Kyambogo, Kampala, Uganda, and I look forward to meeting new friends though couch surfing during my many travels.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We often up remaining in contact with our guests and hosts. One of our hosts in Geneva came to live with us in Uganda and started a project in Rwanda. A Chinese girl travelling on her own ended up staying for month with us and we the same for a couple of young Japanese who were cycling the world. We have had mostly good experiences in staying with others and receiving guests.
Son, Isaac, is the one who turned me on to couch surfing, having met his companion and many friends that way.
Interests
I am passionate about the prospects for improving the lives of the people in rural areas of the developing world through mobile applications and elearning made affordable to the less well off.
