ABOUT ME

Friends describe me as bookish--I'm a quiet creative type who loves exploring new cultures and finding inspiration in everyday things. My hope is to visit a new country every month in 2014, but we'll see how that goes. In the meantime, I write proposals, create functional graphics, and manage marketing initiatives for several clients. My work is very flexible, which allows me to travel on demand.

I couchsurfed across 4 states in 2008 during the Obama campaign. Our donors were extremely generous and I met the most incredible people. One elderly couple in WV kept having trouble connecting their lapt

My favorite novel is Slaughterhouse Five, I'm a huge Vonnegut fan and also like James Joyce, Willa Cather, Cormac McCarthy,and John Grisham (my dad's an old southern lawyer)

Ok, here are a few things I can teach:

I'm a classically trained bel canto opera tenor
I've played bass and guitar for 20+ years
I'm pretty wicked in Photoshop and Illustrator and have been called a walking IT helpdesk
I've rebuilt several racecars and am really good with mechanical things.

To learn:

I would love to pick up French, Spanish, and Latin
I love reading but never have time for it, so becoming a speedreader would be nice
I love baking but am terrible at it.
