We are a married couple (31 and 39 years old) from Austria/Tyrol. We really like travelling in a slow way and getting to know different people, cultures and country´s. We enjoy to listen to everybody´s story - to taste a little piece of someone life. We are not interested in the main touristic places - we like to meet people. That´s why we are travelling.

We are both social workers and Chris is also a carpenter.

For us it is not important what people have, what they have learned or any other status symbols. For us it seems to be a lot more important that humans stay curious, active, positive and brave! Just like children....
We try our best to be like that and always share and spread the positive with other people!

What else is good to know about us? Daniela is vegetarian, Christian not. We both love to cook and to eat. We also love to cook for other people. We are no party-people - we prefer to enjoy a glas (or more) of wine, or tea at home and listen to each others stories, laughing and learn from each other.

Our journey began in Venice. After we took the ferry to Greece and got to Albania and Turkey and Iran on the landway. After Iran we flew for 2 months to Asia. And now we are back in Georgia where we bought a bicycle to go back home slowly. We like to travel without a plane, because we want to feel and see the differences between the countries and cultures.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We are very excited to make new experiences with couchsurfing. It is our first time to travel like this. We are very interested to get to know people from all over the world and listen to there live stories, learn more about culture and daily live in different countrys. At the moment we are absolutly beginners to be a couchsurfer so we really look forward to get into it.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Christian: One year ago we traveled to Sumatra/Indonesia. We had been trekking into the rainforest of Sumatra to see Orang Utans. It was a absolutely beautiful nature and it was one of our best days in life. We walked for hours and when we arrived at the campsite we had a bath in the river. Then I asked Daniela if she wants to marry me. And she said yes. :-)

Daniela: I married Christian. :-)
