Overview
About Me
I’m 32 years old and originally from Colombia. I’ve been living in Sweden for the past three years, where I work in the fields of peacebuilding, democracy, and human rights.
I truly believe in the power of empathy and in building networks and relationships based on mutual respect and kindness.
Right now, I’m traveling around the Balkans for a couple of weeks with a flexible schedule. It’s a bit of an unexpected trip due to some administrative processes, but I’m really happy about it — I’ve always wanted to visit this region. I’ll be working remotely while traveling, so it’s not 100% vacation, but I’m looking forward to exploring, connecting, and learning along the way.
When it comes to sharing space, I’m an organized, very clean person who values open and clear communication.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I genuinely believe that the best way to understand a place is through its people. I’ve spent years working on peacebuilding and social inclusion, and I’ve learned that real connections — built with trust, empathy, and curiosity — can change the way we see the world.
I’m on Couchsurfing because I love meaningful exchanges: sharing stories, learning about different cultures, and seeing how people live and think in their daily lives.
A few years ago, when I was living in Lyon and later in The Hague, I both hosted and stayed with people through Couchsurfing — as you can see in my references — and it was always a positive and enriching experience.
This trip is not just about visiting new places, but about meeting people who also believe in kindness, openness, and community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It’s hard to choose just one! I’ve jumped out of a plane, gone on safari in Kenya, and visited the Amazon River.
I’ve also worked closely with Indigenous and ethnic communities in Colombia — an experience that deeply shaped the way I see life and resilience.
And, of course, I’ve survived several long and dark Swedish winters… which definitely counts as an achievement too! ❄️😄
What I Can Share with Hosts
Since I’ll be working remotely during my trip, I won’t always have a lot of free time during the day — most of it will probably be spent in cafés or libraries with good Wi-Fi.
Still, I really value small moments of connection. I’m happy to share a good conversation, cook something simple together, exchange travel stories, or offer insights about Colombia, peacebuilding, or daily life in Sweden.
I respect people’s routines and space, and I always try to be considerate, independent, and easy to host.
