ABOUT ME

I live with my wife (Munich) and my two daughters (Luiza and Helena) in a nice apartment with old furniture. I have my photographs lab and drawing table in my house. I always wake up very early in the morning and I go to my study to work in silence. I take photographs for a living and I also teach and print pictures. I love books and literature, that is why in the last ten years I have created my own label and I have edited 7 books about photography and literature.

PHILOSOPHY

To live in community. This means getting involved with my community and trying to help people around me. I like being conscious of the time and circumstances I´m living.

Interests

My main interest in life is having a sensitive approach to Art. It can be through pictures, drawings, literature... I have the habit of writing in my journal every single day as a way of reflecting about life and my experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I love different writers. Latinomaerican writers(Cortazar, Garcia Marquez) but also (Thomas Mann, Fracois Mauriac, Albert Camus).
Music: Ethnic music. (I have a special fondness for Brazilian music: Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Ney Matogrosso). I also enjoy Tango music. (I´m a fan of Edmundo Rivero)
Movies: Cohen Brothers, Federico Fellini, David Lynch, Akiro Kurosawa, Orson Wells, Francois Truffault and so many more...
Painters: Francis Bacon and the East European drawers...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I´ve hitchhicked around South America. It was a beautiful experience.
I have two daughters and watching them grow up is pretty amazing.

I can teach how to look at common things in life through a camera with an artistic view.
