Hello! I'll be visiting Iran from September 14, 2018 through September 24, and i'd like to meet local people. My tentative itinerary includes Tabriz, Tehran, and Isfahan.

I'm on Counchsurfing because it will give me an opportunity to meet Iranians and gain a more intimate perspective of Iran and the world.
I am especially interested in visiting culturally and socially significant areas/events! Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

As for books, I just finished the Human Stain by Phillip Roth, but I also enjoy reading non-fiction, including biography (i.e. biographies of Malcolm X; Theodore Roosevelt); regional history, among others.
Movies and music, I enjoy whatever engages me.
