ABOUT ME

I'm from Brazil and living in the US temporarily as an au pair. I'm a poet and writer, with some published pieces (in Portuguese). I have a degree in Language and Literature and this is my big passion in life! I do a lot of stuff (at least I used to do most of it in my home country): worked as a proofreader, a translator sometimes, a storyteller as a volunteer and I also used to make cupcakes. I also used to sing and took drama classes for a while. I do love all kinds of art. =)
But the thing that moves me is writing and I hope someday I can do it for living!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard of couchsurfing some time ago, but, specially for being a girl, I didn't think I would actually do it. But I did. =)
I couchsurfed for the first time with a friend and it was the most amazing experience! I can't even describe how it changed me and made me think of life in a different way. I went to San Diego for vacation and met these wonderful, kind people (not only my hosts, but other couchsurfers, friends of them)! I can't wait to come back to Brazil and start to host people too! For now, it would be amazing just to get to know more of those incredible people wherever life takes me.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many things! I love Brazilian literature, but I read a lot! From Orwell, Huxley to contemporary authors. About music, it depends on my mood, but I love Brazilian MPB, Bossa Nova, rock and roll, reggae... And I love to dance, so whatever is playing at the nightclub! ;)

I am very good writing in Portuguese! =)
I'm still improving my English language skills...
I can also talk about literature and maybe make you try a new book.
I'd love to learn anything! Really, I'm very open to try new things!
