About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding my spot in the world

ABOUT ME

As most of us in this community my current life purpose if to experience the world in all its shades until my time here is over. I realized while doing Erasmus in Italy and living abroad for the first time, that there was not a place that I could call ¨home¨, so I was pushed to move constantly, collecting small pieces of memory to make up for the lacking of attachment to a single place.

I wish I could meet new people every day of my life, hearing new experiences of life and culture is an addiction, and so much valuable for myself than all the knowledge I learned when studying.

PHILOSOPHY

"If you end up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it"... Frank Zappa

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Anytime I travel with or without budget, the CS is the first choice for me. The CS meetings that take place in many cities around the world are also a great tool, I've been already to some in Europe and South America and some of them have been memorable.

I've surfed and hosted as well, and I can't count how many awesome people I've stumbled with thanks to this community

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not only you get a place to sleep... But also you share with people opened enough to host you, to show you around the city, even if they need to work or study.

I've been hosted and hosted all kinds of people from families, lonely individuals and older couples, alcoholics and drug dealers, gay and straight, a Brazilian mother who taught me how to dance samba and drink cachaça until 51, a 40 year old guy who was going to cross the pacific in a shipping boat from Panama to Australia by hitchhiking, a rich family who gave me and three friends a whole house for us to stay; people who offered me food, money and a job; hookups and friends; a house full of artists that would party, drink and smoke weed every day of the week, the coolest sichuanese dude, a Taiwanese nurse who saved me from intense beetlenut juice stomach pain, and so on...

Interests

Backpacking, rock music, learning new languages (or some bad words at least) all types of arts, party and 慢慢来

Music, Movies & Books

Music- mainly classic rock and blues {the doors, led zeppelin, rolling stones, Metallica, BB king etc.}, indie rock, commercial rock... almost everything with the word rock on it. But I can enjoy other types of music as well on different situations.

Movies- everything from Tarantino, Lynch, Bergman,Aronofski, Triers, Kubrick, Buñuel, and any other strange directors around.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I used to have a list of experiences on this section, but then I realized my biggest accomplishment was to have done all of them and still be here alive to talk about it .

Teach, Learn, Share

How to say cheers in different languages

Not a big place yet but for sure a nice time and a sleeping surface better than an ATM
