About Me

חברים שלי! זרתי לאנגליה/גרמניה ליפני כמה שבועות.. איזה זמן היה. אני מתגעגע אותך ישראל!

Hi there! My name is Daniel. I'm terrible at online profiles, but I try to do my best on this one.

I studied psychology in a tiny German city where people spend all day cycling around, having coffee and talking about philosophy. I've also worked in special needs education on and off over the past years which I love very much.

I'm currently back in England, doing a Master's at Leeds Uni.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had wonderful experiences with hosts and other travellers that I met via couchsurfing. It confirmed again and again that there are fantastic people everywhere, ready to offer kindness and hospitality.

Interests

I love learning, writing and teaching and everything that comes with it. Something that I keep coming back to are postcolonial and queer issues, but in general I'm fascinated by all questions around human subjecitivity and its relation to the social world around us.

I love literature and what it can do with and for us. I have some very vague dreams about connecting academic and literary writing (also other forms of art) because I think that would be incredibly cool.

I've also worked in special needs education on and off over the past years. One day in a very, very far future I might feel ready to return to psychology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once watched the sunrise sitting on the very top of a mountain in the Himalayas.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully a cup of tea and some easy-going and wonderful times. (Also mediocre meals that I will try to prepare)

Countries I’ve Lived In

England, Germany, Israel, Scotland
