I love to laugh - ha ha ha ha - and watch Mary Poppins. I come from a big family (6 kids, 3 parents, many extras/borders/nannies in the spare room and a dog) so I'm always looking for noise. I was doing liberal arts at uni and then I discovered people who sing together (musicals) - and the absolute joy of getting to sing with people/make performances. So I rearranged my life a little bit and now I'm just coming to the end of a theatre making degree.

I ride a bicycle with panniers everywhere. Its getting closer to falling apart but little summer breeze just keeps on chugging.

Coinciding with my life rearrangement into theatre was a falling in love with Yoga (specifically Iyengar yoga). Its about the movement and the breathing - yes. But its also about the 40 new people who are there every morning with you. And you do it all together. And they push you into physical places that you can't get to by yourself and its horribly revealing.

Unfortunately, the share house that I've lived in for the last 4 years is about to dissolve. And I'm expecting to not be in any one place for more than 6 weeks for the next 18 months. So I'm not in a position to host anybody at the moment (which I apologise for).

But, I've spent the last 2 years spending 80 hours a week with the same 20 people (at Uni). And I think its warped my sense of what it is to connect with strangers. So I'm trying to counter act that.

I don't drink alcohol. But I'm so so willing to go with people to places where they would drink. I'm mostly just very interested in connecting with others in places that they understand and/or sharing my experiences/knowledge about places that I know (at the moment, mostly around East Coast Australia).

Making theatre. Singing (not that I'm a trained singer or anything, I just love group singing). Yoga. Bicycles. Big dinners. Social noise making (at times). Libraries (at other times). Outdoor adventures and bushland. Conversations where listening suddenly appears.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music - recently Ive been listening to this british A Capella group called "Stile Antico" - they're wonderful. I've also been listening to Lady Gaga. She's wonderful. I'm also always listening to The Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver - They're all wonderful.

Movies - hmmm. I'm always stumped when it comes to films. I like movies - absolutely. But I'm not sure I enjoy them as much as I do live performance.

Books - the last few books I read included An Introduction to English Syntax, a play called "Chat Room" by Enda Walsh, a play called "Low" by Daniel Keene and a revised edition of Antigone by Sophocles. I haven't read many novels, but I have read "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and "Love in the time of Cholera" (by Gabriel Garcia Marquez) a bunch of times.

I'm in an ensemble of theatre students at the moment who are about to put on 6 x 20 min short plays. Its so so difficult because we're all terrible. But there's so much will flying around and the closer we get to the end, the more I think - this is pretty amazing.
