About Me

Hi,
I'm about to go on a speed trip of Italy (only 2 weeks)! I had some amazing couch surfing experiences in my 6 month holiday last year, across Europe and USA and know that your travelling experience is richer and more authentic when you stay with a local.
I'm from Sydney Australia. I've grown up on the east coast of Australia all my life and currently live walking distance to Coogee Beach in Sydney.
I've completed a degree in Civil Engineering and am working in a commercial consultancy firm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on CouchSurfing because I heard great things about it from my friends, and now I have the amazing experiences to match! I met some wonderful people through couch surfing, and keep in touch with some of them still, years later. I'd love to make some new friends overseas and one day host them in my home country.

Interests

I love photography, it's my passion. I also love getting outdoors, hiking, bike riding, surfing, running and playing soccer. I love food, all of it and all of the time. I also love going out for a drink with friends and love it even more when it involves a bit of dancing!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a range of music, on high rotation at the moment is old Grandmaster Flash and Flight Facilities with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (look it up, its amazing).
I like most genres of movies but absolutely hate horror movies or anything gory - Game of Thrones it the exception here, but that's because I've read the books and know what's coming.
I generally read a lot of historical fiction but my friends and I have started a book club and I've been reading a bit of everything lately, next on the list is some peguin classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once sung in an International music competition in Austria.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love photography so I'm happy to teach any beginner a few pointers and am also keen to learn more from others. I'd also like to learn Spanish, so when I go back to South America, I'm less of a gringo.

What I Can Share with Hosts
