My name is Danielle, and I'm a 26 year old tourism student from Brisbane, Australia.

I grew up in a small country town, and escaped to the city when i was 17. I love it here in Brisbane and it's the perfect place to have as your home base... but there's a whole world out there!! And I want to see all of it!!

I work part time doing foreign exchange - which is really handy when it comes to getting my travel money sorted. I love my job and I generally love my customers. The only downside is that I'm not going on the trips with them. BUT! I have 2 big trips planned this year. One that will take me through Morocco, ending in Rome and Paris, and the other to Japan with a friend. I am incredibly excited and am hoping I will FINALLY see some snow - you just don't get that in Queensland.

When I travel, I want to see the touristy stuff, yes. But more-so, I want to experience the culture of the country I'm in. I want to see the hidden gems because I find they are the things you remember the most. What better way to get to know a place than to talk to the locals - I might even get some good friends out of it too!!

I love animals and I am a vegetarian

I love music and my taste is broad, but I'm especially a fan of rock

I play the piano - very rusty from my lessons as a kids, but I can bang out a half decent bohemian rhapsody

I very much enjoy meeting new people. Everyone has their own special story to tell, and I feel that hearing those stories helps you grow as a person.
