Travelling and meeting people has always been my passion. Since I got retired I never stopped travelling except for the Covid period of course.
With my late wife's profile, I used CS to meet new friends in Europe, Canada, Mexiso, the USA, India. All these encounters were fantatstic. So I may say I'm a weathered CSer even if this a new profile.

My other hobby is hiking. I walked the Camino de Compostella on the Camino Frances in 2025 and this year it will be the Camino Portugues in may. Come and join me if you want !

As my daughter and family live in Vienna, Austria, I am not all the time at home.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

For many people, travelling means meeting travel agents, hotel managers, restaurant waiters. All these professionals may be nice -most are- but this is not the real thing. This is not what I want. CS is a great way to meet REAL people all around the world, and to welcome them at home.

Two months in Iran with my RV. Incredible people, so nice, so hospitable. Far away trom the image given by the terrible regime they live under.
So sad and anxious for my friends there.
