COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never used couch surfing before. I did experience a study abroad host in Shanghai and Delhi. I love being with locals who know the great things in the city that aren't in tourist books!

Interests

I love history, culture, politics, and my biggest interest is travel. I feel like traveling is the best education in the world and I never want to stop learning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have done is my life is not a thing. It will never be a thing. It is always the people I meet and can learn from.

Teach, Learn, Share

EVERY KIND! One of the most profound experiences I have ever had in my life was with my partner in China. I was in a college class that went to China for 2 weeks to do stories on any topic we could imagine. We were partnered with students from Shanghai International Studies Institute to show us around and translate. What I didn't expect was to become so close with someone who grew up in a society that is basically the polar opposite of my own. It was humbling to see that we had the same sense of humor and understood each other so well when we could barely speak with same language. It makes you realize that everyone is human. No matter where we grew up or what we experienced we are all humans and the same!
