About Me

PHILOSOPHY

Kindness, love, honesty.

1. "Kindness is my only religion" (HH the 14th Dalai Lama)
2. Love is a radical action (bell hooks)
3. When you love someone, say it (Jeanette Winterson)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've only had "unofficial" couchsurfing experiences - traveling to a place where my friends live and sleeping on spare beds, couches, and once on an assortment of couch cushions.

I also moved to the DC area with nothing more than a duffel bag and the generosity of friends who let me crash with them.

Interests

My main interest is probably writing (though it pains me to say I have a "main" interest). I've been writing ever since I was a little girl, in journals and stories and literature classes. I am also interested in the way myth intersects with reality, which informs a lot of my writing.

A very close second is my interest in photography. I almost always have a camera on me (and sometimes two or three). My heart lies with film, even if it is a costly habit. I love photographing everyday moments, and people when they're not posing.

Other interests include: feminism, ballet, Dungeons & Dragons, video games, really excellent television and films, hilariously bad movies, and many other things.
