ABOUT ME

I am currently american university student who enjoys exploring new places and trying new activities. I enjoy the outdoors and spending my free time in the sun whenever possible. Some of my interests include surfing, skiing, hiking, biking and fly fishing. I also enjoy photography, reading and craft beer.

PHILOSOPHY

I travel for the smiles, not miles. I enjoy meeting new people and trying new things. When I am not traveling, I spend my time studying chemical engineering and playing outdoors.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until August 22 I will be traveling in Europe. Originally I came to Europe to do some hiking in Ireland and Spain. However just before I left the US,I twisted my ankle and sadly am no longer in any condition for hiking. The adventure has changed and I instead hope to travel in a different way for my time in Europe; visiting many different parts of Europe,seeing both new and different things and people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Over the past years I have had lots of opportunity to travel both in the United States and abroad. I have Couch-surfed at many friends places within the US. Visiting New York City, Montreal, Boston, Washington DC, Colorado and many more. Every time I have stayed with a friend,or a friend of a friend. Each time I got to meet and enjoy new and exciting people. Learning about different cultures, people and places. It has always been an exciting way to see the world, as I frequently get to know a place less from the eyes of a tourist and more from the eyes of locals.

Music: I am a huge music fan. I listen to just about everything but mostly listen to alternative rock or indie rock.

Movies: I enjoy many movies, my favorites are comedies. The only genre I can't get into is horror.

I have canoed from the border of the U.S. to Canada's arctic. It was a life changing experience and ever since I have had the urge to venture into new corners of the world.
