Academic bio (PhD student:
"In the area of 19th century Canadian and Quebec history, I explore the concept of bankruptcy in 1840-1900 Montreal. At the intersection of economic, social, intellectual, and cultural history, bankruptcy helps to bring out the links between the morality of contractual relations, the material reality of merchants, and the process and application of law during the period of the construction of the regulatory state."

Other missions? Making beer, cooking, fencing, swimming.

ABOUT ME

I biked around Europe - 5000km and three months.
I made it as far East as Transylvania, as far South as Serbia and Montenegro (then not separate), and it included two rides over the Swiss alps...once from Italy, and once into France. Backpacked through Eastern Europe, Ukraine, Turkey and Israel.
