I am right now living in Geneva, next to the Alps. I compaginated my full time job with guiding groups in the Alps for 3 years. I'm the outdoorsy type and I run away from big cities! I consider myself very social and of easy conversation.

In the older Couchsurfing version, there was a section called "Philosophy", in which you described such. I think it was a nice excercise and therefore, I am leaving it here:

Always trying to see the bright side of each situation, even if it seems bad in principle! Be nice to people as you would like them to be nice to you! Wear your smile, the best cloth! Don't criticize others, let them follow their path. Don't pay too much attention to trivial things in life, 99% of the times we have no true reasons to be sad or annoyed. Don't get used to life, amaze yourself of it, because it is. There is nothing like normal people, normal things. Each one defines what's normal, that's the beauty! Self-defined normal people is the most boring people.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I surfed twice, and it was a positive experience. I also hosted once at my place and met 20+ couchsurfers in a picnic at Amsterdam. I think Couchsurfing has the potential to bring people genuinely together, people who is interested into meeting and sharing with others. And that's the sort of couchsurfers I want to meet!

Intereses

I enjoy travelling. I have a special love to mountains and nature in general. I like to go out there to remember that relationship we have with nature, to remember that attachment which cities tend to make us forget. Hiking, skiing, running through the mountains or camping outside are things I am usually always up to, with a good company.
I expend lots of time thinking how to live a fulfilling life following and exploring my passions, without sticking to the common mold of an "OK" 9-5 job. Hard thing! And that's why I am interested in the 'philosophy of life' of others too.

Walk towards a huge river in India during the monzoon and find an old hindu priest on our way next to one temple, who watched us delighted and saluted us, without none of us being able to share more than a "namaste" but still watching for a minute... and realize he has lived a life radically different than me in every aspect.

Seen a freaking box jellyfish (most lethal in the world) while diving at 20m depth.

Bringing lots of new people together during hiking weekends in the Alps, and getting many of them addicted to the mountains!
